I am thinking of pulling the trigger with some new hardware. As a student, I know a route I can take is the student Apple Developer program. After searching for the ADC store to use the discount I notice its gone! Does anyone know if this program still exists?

It was my bad --- apparently there was a newer driver on the CalDigit website. Works fine now.

I wonder if the Shuffle will ever have more than 2 gigabytes. It's form factor seems to limit it, not because there'll never 2 gigabyte storage that small (there will), but because you can't select songs. I wonder how useful a 10 gig Shuffle would be. (Maybe it would be useful... since I don't listen to music on "shuffle" very often, it doesn't appeal to me, so maybe I'm missing something.)
But on the other hand, what can Apple do? They won't be able to make it much smaller (still needs controls and headphone jack).
That leaves them with the only option being to make it cheaper.
Feature-wise, I guess wireless syncing, as it gets smaller the dock is going to be smaller and smaller (the current version looks flimsy, like it wouldn't stand up or something.) But there's not much you can do with something with no screen.
They have to do one (or more) of the following:

meh, my first HD was 52MB that .052GB or .000052TB or .000000052PB :D
Mine was 10MB ... and people told me I was wasting money since a second floppy drive (5 1/4) would be more than enough (one to boot the OS, one for the data).

it should be ok if you dont play with it and streacth it or watever you might think of doing with it, just use your ipod like a normal person and it should be ok.

I believe you can navigate to the next song, this review was somewhat contradictory in that respect but at least they liked it. Now to go back to waiting for my 512 version to ship, on or before 01/20/05 changed to on or before 01/21/05 :confused:
